TPVD AITiN

TPVD AITiN Coating

Tanury's AlTiN coating containing 60 wt% aluminum. The high aluminum content of TPVD AlTiN provides higher hardness and smoother surface finish when compared to TiAlN coatings. TPVD AlTiN has exceptional high temperature oxidation resistance and a characteristic black color

TPVD AlTiN have exceptional performance when compared to other coatings in many metal cutting and fabricating applications. The key to their performance is the addition of aluminum to TiN, which increases hot hardness, as well as the oxidation stability of the coating. The oxidation thresholds of TiAlN (800¼ C) are the highest of any commercially available coating. AlTiN coatings also have excellent ductility which makes coated components less susceptible to chipping.
